Who can join this page?
If you are an artist in any medium living on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia from Langdale to Powell River, you are welcome to join us and have a free listing in this Directory of Sunshine Coast Artists, fine craftsmen and artisans. If you feel you live on the Sunshine Coast, just get in touch because I really don't know the Upper Coast that well.
What does it cost?
No cost, your listing on the main page is free.
What's the catch?
No catch. This free site is a random act of kindness by artists Paula O'Brien that works to showcase and network artists and fine artisans on the Sunshine Coast. It is meant to act as a portal to all things artistic on the Sunshine Coast and to help artists and art lovers network and meet each other.
What do I need to send you for my free listing?
Please submit 3-5 high res images. I'll pick the one that will crop best for your main image which will be sized at 125 pixels high and carefully cropped to maximize your small space. A wider image is preferable to a tall skinny one. I will crop some images to add to page sidebars as the site grows for a random but aesthetic look.
Please do NOT send me any info about yourself or the images. I just don't need it, thanks.
How much text can I have?
It's up to you but look at other listings as a guideline and you will see the small space provided. Send a few lines of description of your artwork and your site. See example below with the normally invisible box frame shown:

Can I have a listing even if I don't have my own web site?
Sure, the link can go to your blog, the gallery you show with, your page with Coast Cultural Alliance, your email address or you can have no hyperlink at all.
Another option is having a page built within this site. Why not check that out for now until you decide to really build your own site? It's a great way to have a nice web presence without the hassles of setting it all up yourself.
Another great option is getting a great page going with ArtReview.com or Saatchi Online or creating your own blog with programs suggested on the Links page. Way bigger than the one page I offer and FREE.
Online Slideshow
I put together an online slideshow for YouTube early February, 2010 so if you missed getting your image in to me in time, send me one single best image, size should be at least 6 inches by 6 inches and at least 180 dpi. Images smaller than this may look pixelated. When I have enough images, I will make another slideshow but certainly not before summer 2010.
